BACTRASAN 20L Food Grade - No Rinse Sanitiser.
Sanitiser for food preparation areas
Bactrasan is a powerful liquid quaternary ammonium based product with exceptional sanitising and fungicidal properties. Bactrasan may be used in the sanitising of previously cleaned food processing equipment in the food manufacture, brewing, cordial and soft drink industries, as well as in abattoirs, restaurants and canteens. Use Bactrasan for mould control in cool rooms - treatment using Bactrasan once every six months will provide residual fungistatic activity to satisfactorily control mould growth. Bactrasan may also be used for the sterilisation of water in footbaths as a means of controlling Tinea and other fungal diseases.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Note: Bactrasan should not be mixed with soaps or detergents.
For sanitation of food contact surfaces and processing equipment:
Using a General Cleaner Type A, clean the equipment thoroughly before using Bactrasan. Use Bactrasan at a dilution rate of 1:500 (i.e. 20 mL per 10 L bucket of water). Apply using an atomiser or a clean sponge or cloth. Allow 15 minutes contact time for a fully sanitised surface, then collect any liquid from the surface and/or allow to drain before use. There is no requirement to follow the sanitising of the surface with a potable water rinse if direct contact with prescribed goods is prevented and if treated surfaces are adequately drained before processing operations resume.
For mould control in cool rooms:
Using a General Cleaner Type A, clean the equipment thoroughly before using Bactrasan. Use Bactrasan at a dilution rate of 1:100 (i.e. 100 mL per 10 L bucket of water). Wet the ceiling and walls thoroughly with the diluted Bactrasan. Treatment in this manner once every six months will provide residual fungistatic activity to satisfactorily control mould growth.
For use in foot baths:
To prevent cross-infection, add 10 mL Bactrasan per 50 L of water in the footbath. At this level, the incidence of Tinea and other fungal infections will be greatly reduced.
For use as a swimming pool algaecide:
Dose 100 mL of Bactrasan per 10,000 L of water per week. For pools with heavy algae growth requiring shock treatment, or for winter conditioning when the pool is not in use, dose 1 L of Bactrasan per 10,000 L of water.
